How do you stop obsessing over the clock?

I count every second in my head and it completely kills the mood. I know it's counterproductive but I can't switch it off. Any tips?

The clock is a performance monitor, and monitoring yourself during sex pulls you out of the experience, which raises anxiety and usually makes the problem worse. A few ways out: 1. Replace the clock with a range: aim for 'a bit longer than last time', not a target number. 2. Use the 1-10 arousal scale instead. It is a body signal, not a scoreboard. 3. Move attention outward: your partner, your breathing, touch. Attention has to go somewhere, so give it a place to land. 4. Check your progress afterwards, once, in your training log. Progress is a trend over weeks. Measuring it in the moment is like weighing yourself mid-meal.

Stopped counting months ago. Best decision ever, took so much pressure off.
