Two months in and I still finish fast with my partner

I've been training about 5 times a week for two months. Solo I can hold back almost every time now, but the moment it's with my partner I'm back to square one. Is this normal? It honestly feels like I'm failing all the training.

Short answer: this is extremely common and it does not mean the training is failing. The skills you build solo (breath control, pelvic floor awareness, reading your arousal scale) are learned in a low-pressure context. Partner sex adds a new variable: performance pressure, and that alone can spike arousal. A practical bridge: 1. Bring the same drills into foreplay, not just solo sessions. 2. Use the start-stop technique with your partner, not only alone. 3. Rate your arousal 1-10 every 30-60 seconds and slow down at 6, not at 9. 4. Keep a weekly note of how long you last; look at the trend, not a single session. Most men notice the gap closing over 6-12 weeks of partner practice. Educational note: this is guidance, not a diagnosis. If it persists, a urologist or pelvic floor physiotherapist can help.

That actually helps a lot, thanks. I think I was rating myself way too late, at 8-9 instead of 6.

Had the same thing. What worked for me was slowing down much earlier and doing reverse kegels when I felt it building. Stick with it man.
